This stuff is baloney. The three tramps were identified when the Dallas police released their arrest records and they were traced. Two are still alive and one has been interviewed. See http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/3tramps.htm One of them, Harold Doyle, has been interviewed and it's on youtube.
The Chrisman-JFK nonsense is an amusing balloon originally released by Kenn Thomas of Steamshovel. But then Kenn takes the view that we should pursue conspiracy theories for the hell of it (to paraphrase an old hippy/yippy slogan of thelate 1960s).
The story is indeed far-fetched and I don't see any other good evidence outside of the story to corroborate or support it.
However, the mcadams website is rubbish, too. I have been persuaded reading that guy's claims that he is just a disinformation agent/propagandist on the payroll of the CIA and/or whoever else was really involved in the JFK assassination. Nothing on the mcadams website should be taken seriously either.
