An American nuclear submarine has crossed the Suez Canal to join the US fleet stationed in the Persian Gulf, Egyptian sources say.

The most senior US general in Iraq has said he has evidence that Iran was behind Sunday's bombardment of Baghdad's heavily fortified Green Zone.

Gen David Petraeus told the BBC he thought Tehran had trained, equipped and funded insurgents who fired the barrage of mortars and rockets.

Bush administration attacks Iran with catastrophic results (for us) and so the American people turn to a strong leader with military experience. President McCain. It could happen.

crap! the close obama gets to being the Dem frontrunner, the closer we get to war with Iran. so, I place the odds of 80% likelihood we will be at war with Iran later this year, probably right after Obama becomes the Dem frontrunner.

Once we are at war with Iran, with a 2nd war that will likely involve nuclear warfare, bush will declare martial law and suspend elections or just declare that McCain is the winner.

it could happen.

anon 8:15AM, of course, but don't tell that to Gen Petraeus (whose last name rhymes with betrayus).

Thinking Iraq was connected with 9/11-al quaeda was proof enough for our so called leaders so doesn't matter what the proof is, if Bush-cheney-betrayus thinks Iran is behind the latest insurgency in iraq then it is to them.

it's all about propping up the dollar and stopping the us economy from total freefall anyway but still enabling the oil companies to make obscene profits at the expense of everyone else.
