Happy New year
Reading 'IBM and the HOLOCAUST' published 2001 by Edwin Black. What a shocker. No wonder Watson Sr, founder of big Blue, was behind Hitler's successful push for WWII, actually advocating that German should get it's rightful share of resources.
IBM's punch card technology made it much easier for Nazi Germany to identify every Jew not only in Germany but in the soon to be invaded countries as well.
IBM made huge profits but covered up it's role via using a German entity called 'Dehomag'.
Watson knew about the ongoing persecution of Jews starting in 1933, and profited handsomely by reinvesting profits made from their German operations in underpriced real estate in Berlin and other major cities in the late 1930s.
