Badgeman (If you don't know who Badgeman is then you are probably not a JFK assassination buff--suffice it to say that this is a blow up of a section of the Mary Moorman photograph showing the area behind the picket fence on the Grassy Knoll. Click on the photo and it should get bigger.

That's the CLEAREST Moorman photo of the man shooting JFK I've ever seen. Thanks for posting it.

This was originally posted by long-time researcher Jack White. He was the man who did the original Badgeman photographic work.

I'm sorry, I'm just not sure what I'm supposed to be seeing.

Patrick,

You're looking at a man wearing what looks like a uniform firing the final shot that took JFK's head off. You can see his forehead plainly and it looks like he's wearing shooting glasses.

They found Badgeman in the Moorman photo. Someone told me it was merely a man lighting up a cigarette. What a torch for one cigarette!

Joseph McBride, in Into the Nightmare, argues that badge man was Dallas Police patrolman JD Tippet, who was killed 38 minutes after JFK was killed a few blocks from where Oswald and Ruby lived, and blocks from where Oswald was caught. My sense is that it's very possible it's Tippet but not probable. However, Tippet was definitely involved in the assassination and his murder represents a doublecross.
